My daughter is 4. She has been complaining of her vulva area and just below the vaginal area hurting. I took her to her doctor and emergency room. They both said vaginitis. I was given hydrocortisone to put on the area. Nothing looks swollen, or red. I don’t know what else to do at this point. I don’t believe this is the issue. What else could this be?
@elizabeth20072012, do not take her back to the ER. This is not an emergency. She should see her pedi and poss get a referral to a gynecologist who specializes in pediatrics if things aren’t resolving but in no way is this an emergency.
@momgroupreject, I have taken her back to her doctor for the second time and they she’s fine. It’s been over a week and she is still hurting. I don’t know what else to do.
@elizabeth20072012, can you switch doctors? The emergency room isn’t really there for treatment. They are just there to make sure there isn’t a life threatening emergency. ESP right now with Covid cases increasing again, it’s best to avoid the ER at all costs. I would ask for a referral or call around to other doctors in your network.
Could she be constipated and thinking the lower tummy pain is coming from that area?
No she has been going to the bathroom regularly
So I don’t think I will keep this pregnancy and I don’t know what I’m supposed to do
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

So my daughters cord was wrapped around her neck I just delivered her vaginally she was so beautiful rip my angel
What will my doctor do if I tell her I’m depressed and I can’t handle the pain anymore because I’m very uncomfortable at this point and I don’t know how much longer I can be like this.
Do the pads you guys ever irritate your vaginal area and hurt real bad ? Like what can I put on me so it won’t be so irritated and painful ?
I would do the hydrocortisone cream like they prescribed, and like always after an emergency room visit they want you to follow up with your PCP at about three days.. so I would make an appointment for your daughter and I would bring up your concerns to your pediatrician and see where you can go from there… if they didn’t examine her in the ER department than I would make sure that you tell her pediatrician that that way they can give her a better exam.
