Механики совсем обнаглели! Как не переплачивать за ремонт авто, если знаешь детали?
these mechanics think they have someone that is not afraid mess with their own car 😂😂i dont have a problem being my own mechanic talking fast about the parts doesn’t scare me, charging me $400 on a part i can get for $35 🙄 . then wanting to say that changing all 4 tires on my truck is gonna be over $1,000... no thank you, i just need a list on what needs replacing and i got it myself. Not about to pay more than what the car is worth…

We just bought a new truck and for a tonneau cover included they wanted over $1500 which included labor. 😂 doesn't even take 5 minutes to put it on!

To pass the inspection it just needs both upper ball joints replaced and lower front right side ball joint. For parts and labor they wanted to charge $1,278.17 i found a 6piece suspension kit for $107 plus $49 for a ball joint press that I need for the lower part. That’s still $29 less than their 196.99 for one upper joint assembly part 😂😂😂.

@momgroupreject, we have a guy that would accept our parts and just charge labor he would still be cheaper than this place in the chance we change our minds. But we saw it and it doesn’t look that hard.

@latinamomof3, it is definitely not easy. ESP bc they’re probably rusted on. But if someone who knows what they’re doing will replace then do that! Mechanic work is expensive but also comes with a guarantee for their repairs and way better parts than rock auto online (typically cheap materials used from overseas)

the difference between a mechanic and myself is just better tools. Unless it requires touching and moving the engine that I will leave to “professionals” but thanks for the concern.
