Crap! I gained so much weight, mood swings, I was the definition of crazy. But I didn’t get pregnant or have a period but definitely not worth it. For me

Don’t do it without a full research. Causes unexplained infertility in some for years after. Most deal with weight gain. A month or two of spotting after first shot, irregular periods for months after, along with many other things others have said. It was originally made for horses weird random fact.
Please don’t … it’s the worst contraceptive out there . I bled for an entire freaking year … like non stop bleeding and spotting it was horrible ! Constant bv infections . And my skin went haywire . I ended up taking accutane to help my skin and it caused a whole other set of issues 🤡
Point is don’t get the shot . It takes forever to get out of your system . And I only had 1 round of shots I never came back to get my second after 3 months and I still had horrible side effects for a long time . It’s been 2 years and I’m now back to normal .

HORRIBLE. The only time I didn't bleed was the week of the shot. I lost so much blood I almost passed out. I was so weak and doing so bad and my doctor recommended I DON'T take it anymore as my body is having a bad reaction from it . So I stopped taking it. Everyone is different , my cousin had NO issues on it and NEVER bled I was so jealous of her for that. She's been on it for years, she said the only down fall for HER was the weight gain. Other than that she loved it and I hated ir from my experience. Good luck !
I was on to fro 3 years gained over 100 lbs in those three years then when my hubby and I wanted kids it took over 2 years with the first. I had also lost a lot to that weight in between.
For me I loved it. I had no weight gain, no periods, no side effects at all. And I was on it for 4 years. But then my OB/GYN wanted me to switch BC because the shot can cause bone loss so I switched to the pill.

Horrible. I bled for like 6 months. Ended up having to go on the pill to correct it. It made me irritable and triggered my depression

Just stopped it because I blew up like a balloon and bleed non stop for 4 months and was a crazy asshole to everyone I would never recommend it
