Curtain rods suck to put up lol but I did it. My living room now has blackout curtains. There’s a big window and a sliding glass door. I hope it helps with the AC

Yesss! Lol it really has mad it easier to get bella to bed on time. Instead of her battling me on the sun being up 🤣
@rayofmysunshine my daughter was like "it's still daytime, the sun's awake" the other day I put her to bed. I said oh well it's 730 go to bed 😂
Mine help immensely! My power went out for a few hours Saturday and my house really didn’t heat up much at all.
Black out curtains help a lot. We used to live in an upstairs condo that had a big window that faced the sun during the hottest part of the day, and the only time the cooler could keep up was when we left the curtains closed all day. It was miserable without them.
This old house has poor insulation. The windows brought in so much heat. My plants might not like me for this decision lol
The only windows left for something are in the kitchen. And one above my front door.

How do you guys clean your plastic shower curtain? My grandma told me to put it in the washer but I feel like that would rip it. I scrub it but it always has this brown tint to it because of the well water. I dont wanna use bleach cuz I feel like i would get it everywhere and my SO is allergic. I use barkeepers friend on my tub and it works well but it leaves a white film on the curtain and looks gross.
