This! I feel extreme guilt, constantly. It gets me down more than anything else, but no other choice. Work or don't live.

I do it for my sanity.

Mom guilt is real ! I was a mom at 16 yrs old , 24 yrs old again and planned my last baby at age 37 I’ve always worked but, with my 3rd last son I didn’t put him in daycare I worked in the morning and his dad worked when I got home . After my last son also was born I stopped worked more than 8 hrs I used to work 10 hr days or longer to provide all I can for my family “ please know your not alone and big hugs to you

I do it bc it’s important to me for my children to see a woman working hard… not only in the home but outside of the home, too. It’s difficult juggling it all, for sure. I feel great pride in providing for my children financially and I feel great pride in setting a good example for them.
Your kids missed you just like you missed them - it’s not something to feel guilty about (although I understand why those comments might make you feel that way). That’s their way of saying that they love you. It doesn’t mean they were miserable while you were gone. I know it’s hard, but your babies aren’t missing out or being harmed because you work. ♥️

Both my husband and myself grew up with working moms. My grandma on my mom’s side worked too. It’s normal for us. It’s important for me that my kids grow up not only seeing me (a woman) work full time and help financially care for the house, but also their dad doing things like cooking, laundry, cleaning and caring for them, also while he has a job too.
I miss my kids while I’m working, but it brings me a lot of happiness to help financially provide for my family. Plus I don’t like crafts and I suck at pretend play, so I make sure those are things my kids don’t miss out on by having childcare that likes to do those things. We do a lot of fun things in the evenings and weekends. I’ve read it’s quality of time spent together and not necessarily quantity that is most important.

I feel extreme guilt then my bills are due🤷🏻♀️ My husband tells Liam “mommy is making money so you can watch your tv, play your switch , and go to Walmart to get toys”
So now when I come home Liam thinks I have “a lot a lot of moneys”
So he always wants to go to Walmart 🤦🏻♀️

I will say this, when my son started school he came home and said "I cried at school because I missed mommy and daddy." That made me feel very guilty, but it's important for him to be in school, as it's important for us to work. Spoiler: I didn't pull him out of school
