Has anyone elses little ones been allergic to nappy cream? Did the drs have solutions?

My friends girl was prescribed steroid cream if it got really sore but I cant remember the process I remember her nappy rashes wouldnt clear or got worse with sudocrem and they told her to stop using it giving her different options
