What should I do about my sons grandparents continuing not to listen to things you tell them to do with your child ? For example I’ve had to keep telling them what soaps and lotion to use when I pack it in his bag because he has very sensitive skin and bad eczema and comes home with itchy messed up skin and tells me they don’t use this stuff . Along with so much more. Like having him around people I’ve asked not to be around him. Not responding to concerns and not having him home when I asked. Putting my kids on Facebook when I said not. Then telling my son he can call them when he’s ready to come over and said she wasn’t asking me if he can come anymore not knowing I was sitting next to him. Like he’s a child he’s not going to be a middle man. When you want someone kid you ask the mother and that’s that. I’m at the point of saying they will not see my kids again. I was nice enough to let them come back into my oldest life after 2 years of cutting ties I will do it again for good.
You stop letting your kid see them. 🤷🏼♀️ Guess they should’ve respected your wishes. I have no tolerance for this shit!
Bye bye is what I'd say! 🤷♀️ My kid, my rules, PERIOD! If anyone doesn't like it, they can fuck off. 💯
I love it !! I agree I try to be nice and think of my son feelings but I let so much slide way too many times and I can’t keep allowing it.

I love your comment! I am definitely not letting them see them again especially after talking to all of you ladies , I thought maybe I was overreacting but I see I’m not and I’m ok now with that decision.
@luv_2b_amomma, When you make your expectations/boundaries clear & people repeatedly disrespect them then it’s time to cut those people off. You are the parent and know what’s best for the kid(s). If it’s important to you that they maintain a relationship then they can have a relationship under your supervision. If that’s a problem for them then that is a red flag & they can go. 👋🏼 There’s a difference between you let my kid stay up 45 mins past bedtime & you let my kid be around people that I find dysfunctional/problematic. As the parent we have the say as to what is best.
@ekko, I really appreciate this comment! Everything you said is 100% correct and I completely agree with. She’s sees nothing wrong with nothing she does and tries justify everything instead of just being like I messed up and I’m sorry. I don’t want her in my home and I don’t have time to set aside for her anywhere else for her to see him. She couldn’t respect me and my wishes I can’t go out of my way to make sure she can see my son. Like you said it’s time to cut her off. I won’t continue to be disrespected.
Does he have to go over? You could explain that you are not comfortable with his health being override because of their opinion.
I would not be comfortable sending my child. I hope you are able to verbally get them on board.
No he doesn’t have to go. He’s homeschooled and I’m a sahm. He goes because he wants to go over there and I tried to be nice because I don’t want to disappoint him or upset him but like I told him last night I can’t continue to put you in a situation like that where she will not listen and out your health at risk and want to continue to do things her way. I’m definitely not comfortable with sending him anymore but I hated the look on his face and I wanted more opinions on the subject to see if I was overreacting or not. I’ve tried many of times even threaten he isn’t be allowed back and she still did the Same thing. So I stopped communicating with them and left it at that.
I agree with these comments. Sounds like it is past time to pull yourself and kids out of that situation until they can follow your boundaries.
@rayofmysunshine, absolutely not ! She was only willing to get my oldest child anyway and not the other 2, never attempted to make a connection with them. Came over twice since she came back in my oldest son life. But he was only going because he would ask to go or she was asking can he go and I let him to make him happy but I’m so over it.
@luv_2b_amomma, I would be too! I’d tell him up front why and that it is important to stand your ground. It’s a great teaching experience to hold other accountable on their actions.
@rayofmysunshine, I completely agree! We talked a little about it but I’m going to really explain it and I hope he takes it well and understands completely that it’s not because of him. It’s consequences when you don’t listen in life and that’s what happening here.
I just had to stop letting them take care of him and rearrange my schedule. Unfortunately.
I’m sorry it sucks not having others to actually depend on to do what’s asked of them.
We went through a phase where my in laws had to come to our house to see my oldest bc my FIL wasn’t respecting the rules for K’s helmet. If they can’t be trusted to follow your rules at their house then they shouldn’t have the privilege of the kid going over there. Especially rules around health issues.
I completely agree ! And I’m so glad that everyone understands and don’t think I’m overreacting. My husband doesn’t think it’s necessary I think it’s just because it’s his family and he feels bad for them but I’m over the disrespect.
I would stop letting my kid go over. And give them a ultimatum, you can follow what I need done with my child or he will not be back over unless I am here to supervise, bcuz you need to respect how I raise my children, as I respect how you run your house while I'm there.
I told her that once when she had my son around the person I asked her not have him around and she tried to justify it and then said ok and he comes back and tells me she was at the house and grandma said not to tell me.
@luv_2b_amomma oh fuck no definitely wouldn't be sending my kid there then.
@hakunamafuckitall, I agree ! I told my husband and he was like maybe she didn’t know she was coming but even if why wouldn’t she call me and tell me. Why tell my son not to tell me. He isn’t a liar and I think she just doesn’t have respect for me at this point.
Cut off contact , if they can’t follow your rules, and respect you then they don’t get access to your children especially when some of that stuff like the soaps comes into play with their well being . 0 reason your rules as the mother aren’t respected . Crazy they think after you already cutting them off you wouldn’t do it again
That’s exactly what I said ! You would think after not seeing him for 2 years and not being involved at all in my second child’s life at all that you would have some respect and try to follow the simple things that are asked but I’m so over it. I’m glad I’m not overreacting.
@luv_2b_amomma, nope ! No mom can over react about respecting your boundaries. If you feel the boundary is necessary then it needs to be respected period .!
@briannalynn547, I like how you put that! That is absolutely right too. I’m glad you ladies responded I definitely feel better about my decision and I hate because it only hurts my son but I’ve tried to many times.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but..... Her fiancé does not want kids, at lease for another 3-5 years he said... so she came up with the idea to have me pee on a stick for her and show it to him so that he’ll be comfortable with not wearing a condom and finishing in her.. basically the whole idea is to make him think she’s pregnant already...... so I do this favor for her or should I tell my girl to chill?
He and my husband are friends through us and he’s going to invite him over...
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
My husband says I can be a stay at home mom and be with the kids... what do I do? I ask him the other day and he said up to me. he makes enough to support us and pay for everything..... I would love to stay with my kids and take care of them.....
Is wrong to leave the state with the kids you and your BD reside in and not tell him? FYI he barely sees them and he’s of no help.
