Стоит ли мне делать мониторинг глюкозы при беременности с фобией игл?
Hoping for some insight on this matter. Im pregnant with twins and this is also my first pregnancy so im pretty clueless. I dont really have any support from any woman i could say and need help making a decision. I have a super bad phobia of needles and hospital give me super bad anxiety and stress along with doctors so this hasnt been easy for me i suppose. I just recently did my glucose test. The results were great besides a little interest in my fasting bs. Apperrantly it was barrily a little high and my ob had said she wanted me to do at home monitoring of my bs. 4 sticks a day, fasting then an 1hr after breakfast lunch and dinner i need to get my bs checked. The problem is that my fear of needles is so bad i usually wind up have a full blown anxiety attack and constant stress before i even have to poke myself, causing my heart rate to be high im assuming affect the results as well. Personally i dont think i have gestational diabetes but i could be wrong.
But this is were the big question is, is it worth the excessive stress and anxiety and panic attacks to get my bs 4 times a day or should i be more concerned the stress is ganna have worse consequences than possible gestational diabetes.
Note: ive always had pretty bad anxiety and stress easy. I think that my result was affected because of that and i dont think i have gestational diabetes. The results were only a few points high on fasting but completly normal for the other two tests. #myfirstpost

Ask them can you do the 3 hour test. I would tell them about your fear and anxiety also. You should definitely make sure to test because anyone can get gestational diabetes and we don’t always know we have it.
