What is a good over-the-counter allergy medication?

My husband's doc at the Cleveland Clinic says to alternate Claritin and Zyrtec because it's more effective. Like that Claritin 1x a day for 6 months, then switch to taking Zyrtec instead. He says your body doesn't react as well if you always take just one type.

interesting. I only take it spring and fall

so maybe 4 months total out of the year. I’ll get a bottle if Zyrtec and see how it goes!

I'm actually at the doctor with Lynnie now because we just can't get her cough under control at night. I think she may have asthma.

either one is fine, you take it 1x a day. It's actually recommended you switch between brands every 6 months are so for maximum effectiveness. We get it at Sam's club (their own brand) and they are cheap.
