What’s a good otc allergy med?
My allergies are driving me insane and my Benadryl isn’t working at all.
My husband's doc at the Cleveland Clinic says to alternate Claritin and Zyrtec because it's more effective. Like that Claritin 1x a day for 6 months, then switch to taking Zyrtec instead. He says your body doesn't react as well if you always take just one type.
@jenx, interesting. I only take it spring and fall
@jenx, so maybe 4 months total out of the year. I’ll get a bottle if Zyrtec and see how it goes!
This is what our doctors were telling us. I just bought some local honey too cause this mess is insane this year! 😄
@m00my2five I'm actually at the doctor with Lynnie now because we just can't get her cough under control at night. I think she may have asthma.
Zyrtec. Benadryl is no longer recommended for seasonal allergies from what my daughter's allergist told me.
I’m seeing that. It used to work but also my allergies have gotten a lot worse the last year or two than they’ve been before.
@supermomof4 either one is fine, you take it 1x a day. It's actually recommended you switch between brands every 6 months are so for maximum effectiveness. We get it at Sam's club (their own brand) and they are cheap.
My daughter is getting her allergy test done tomorrow morning. For those that have gone through this, what was your experience? Any advice?
What do you mommas take for allergies? Since we moved into our house my allergies are bad from all the dust and dirt.
Yay to running out of my allergy medicine 😭
Anyones babies have cows milk protein allergy!?
Any mom with kids with food allergies or use to have allergies.
When your child had a food allergy did they grow out of their food allergy? If so when did you find out they had a food allergy and at what age did they grow out of it? I’m just curious 😊
I take Claritin. But wanting to try Zyrtec because I hear good things. Sometimes with Claritin I’m still super sneezy
