Random question… how do you feel about coloring your kids hair & what’s the appropriate age to you? My oldest wants pink hair & the clip ins look a little tacky so I was thinking of maybe getting semi permanent hair coloring & doing maybe a streak of pink without lightening it first. Idk though.. I talked with her father & he’s ok with it also, I guess I don’t want to be judged as a parent but at the same time I kinda don’t care lol.

We don’t allow any type of bleaching until they are close to being an adult.

@jay_que, @squishymommy1, yes I agree also! Her hair is dirty blonde so I think a pink would show up perfect anyways!

I have this stuff I'll take a pic but it coats the hair and it stays in for about a month.
And as for being judged fuck then. They can worry about what they do with there own

My mom was a hairdresser, she bleached pieces of mine for the first time when I was in 4th grade. I don’t see it as a big deal but it was normal for me as a kid, all my friends parents wouldn’t allow it tho lol. My daughter has asked but I’m too scared lol, we just add coloured braiding hair to her styles and it’s enough to satisfy her.

I used Moroccanoil color depositing mask on my girl. I just did a streak of pink in the underneath. Later we did aquamarine color (still Moroccanoil) on her ends. That did have to be cut out because it was just fading and didn’t look good after awhile. It was about 2 inches on her ends, so not a big deal really.
But overall, I don’t think it’s a big deal.

The things I wasnt interested in doing may be the things my oldest is interested in. I wasn't into dyeing my hair until I was in my 20s but she was interested at around age 11. I didn't approve of her ends being dyed until she was 13 though. Her hair is dark brown so her ends were dyed a lighter brown. It was very tasteful. Its just about moderation and deciding on what's best for your household. I do have my beliefs that i feel strongly about just like my dad growing up but he did allow me to do certain things WITHIN REASON for my own growth. He seriously was the best.

Im going to let me kids use the bored panda hair wax (i think thats what its called) we are going to wait till summer because of the schools and their whole stupid hair coloring rules

I started putting peekaboo streaks (1 or 2) in my dds hair around 8, but that's when she started asking. 🤷🏻♀️I wont bleach her hair, but shes already a sandy blonde, I say do what you want babes! Hair is hair. If you wanna let her express herself in that way, why not! Itll be super cute!

My mom uses some kind of wax in her hair and it works really good. Her whole head is pink currently.

Put a couple streaks with that hair wax coloring ish that washes out after a month or so. It'll be cute. I have braided my toddlers hair with bright colors in it and don't care what anyone thinks lol

We use that keracolor clenditioner in teal and it washes out within a week or so. I don't think it's a big deal at all.

Allot of parents let there kids do it these days I see nothing wrong with it. My boys ask I’ll do it🤷♀️ it don’t stay forever
