£197 a month for gas and electric as of next month, was £80 a month.

Now costs £110 to fill my car up with a full tank, used to be £80.

Its getting too expensive to be alive at this rate, cant believe nothing is being done about this and we are just expected to find all this extra money. 🤦‍♀️

It’s actual madness. We were saying people will be running to work now for electric and heating but with the cost of fuel it’s like really. Can’t believe it, but wages ain’t going to xx

I don’t know they physically expect people to compensate. Bills are already high enough in this day and age, to increase them to more extortionate prices is just criminal! Like you say, what do they expect people to do? And what help is available if you physically do not have the extra income!

@heatherlou88, you’re entitled to complain the ‘whining’ was a joke to some of my American friends 😅 either way the increase is affecting everybody and it’s all extra money people are having to find! My friend has just moved from Dallas to Phoenix by car, luckily she did it before the gas hike!

@jo.wilcox lol I didn't even read the caption 😂 that's true though. We can't whine for sure. Ours is miniscule compared to yours lol especially here in Arkansas.

Ours was $200 for gas, $150+ for electric, water was usually $120-$130. Our mortgage was cheap though, only $600. Most people's here in America is much higher, we just didn't owe much on ours. I say "was" because we just sold our home a couple weeks ago and bought an RV. We bought 8 acres a few months ago & are gonna build a house! Gonna live in the RV to save $. What's the price difference between the UK & America, do you know?

Ive already started to try and adjust to this rise by turning down my heating an extra 1 degree meaning it doesnt need to come on much with the weather being abit nicer now. My estimate for gas and electric is like £200 more. I have a smart meter and I usually use about £2 a day electric and £2 a day gas on a colder day/ over autumn and winter and in the summer it can be less than £1.50 each. It's stressing me out already 😩🥴 xx

We had a letter about it the other day, our annual energy bill is set to almost double. It's crazy! X
