Recommend a tracker watch for my child?

I’ve heard good things about gizmo and it has emergency capabilities if she needs it.

How far away is it?? Kai has walkie talkies for when he and Eli are outside and I'm inside!

We haven't really had to put their range to a real test yet though. I'm a helicopter Mom, BAD, 😬 and never let him actually go far enough without me to have to use the walkies.

Kirk or I usually goes outside with them, so they can roam wherever then. When they go out on their own I tell them they have to stay by the front porch, no further than the swing in the front yard tree, where I can see them out the front Living window. If they go to the back they have to stay where I'd be able to see them from either the living or dining window at the back of the house.

They think their free and playin on their own but they've actually got an invisible boundary, like they're wearin shock collars. 🤣

Hey! 🤔......Na, that's a bad idea, we're PROBABLY not allowed to put shock collars on our kids? What if we use it as a bracelet instead if a necklace? 🤷‍♀️

We thought about walkie talkies or a phone but I just know she'll put it down in a random spot. It's about 1.5-2 acres depending on whose yard she's in and what part she's in. We live in the suburbs so the houses really just have a fence in between them.

I'm not a fan of her going out and about by herself but there are other kids too, one being 14. With the new baby coming my husband said I should give her some independence. So we're compromising with the tracker watch.
