What are views on ear piercing now?
Contravertial question, what are the views on ear piercing nowadays?
My mum keeps asking if im going to get Emies ears pierced because she got mine done as a baby but I thought that was not ok anymore. 🤔

I don't see the point of it when they are babies
Maya's 6 and doesn't have hers done. I personally believe in them being old enough to ask plus wouldnt get it done with a gun 😊

I had Olivias done for her 2nd birthday as she keept asking for them. I even showed her videos on YouTube of children getting them done and I did tell her they will sting. I personally wouldn't get them done until they can ask but it's your choice xx
I waited until lola asked me to have them done. Her friend at school had hers done so she wanted then too. She was 6 at the time. Personally I wouldn't pierce a babies as I would worry too much about my kids them pulling them out but it's the choice of the parents x

How was she getting them done?! I've just seen it on your photos she looks adorable 😍 I would love to get emies done but I was worried about everyone saying it's a bad thing to do to babies these days etc. Think it honestly should just be left up to the mother! People have got something to say about everything these days 🙄 xx
@kelsey234 she was fine. She literally cried for about 30 seconds if that. She's not bothered with them since she had them done. Obviously because she's so young she doesn't know they're even there to fiddle with them and infect them.
No-one's said anything to me about her having them done but tbh it's no-one else's business.
I had hers done at an Indian jewellers they've been there forever and I had a lot of my piercings done there as a child. I wouldn't go to Claire's or anywhere like that with a baby though personally, with an older child its a bit different xx
I would personally wait until she’s older like you said until she’s old enough to tell you she wants them doing! I asked my 3yo at the time of her last bday if she wanted them doing she said yes but when we got to the shop she said no so we left it if she decides she wants them doing I’ll let her😊but it’s personal preference xx
Yeah I think I'll end up doing the same! It's annoying though as babies look so cute with them done but I understand why people think it's a bad thing now 😂 xx
It's quite an old fashioned tradition & not really the done thing these days. Personally I wouldn't do it. Don't see the point of it. Especially these days where we're encouraging & teaching children to know it's their body & consent etc. But I'm also not gonna judge a parent who decides to do it 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah that's what I thought, i dont think I'd get emies done until shes old enough to tell me she wants them. Plus it's a lot of cleaning and disinfecting! Xx

Hey I was just thinking about getting my little girl ears pierced and how many months did you get your daughter ear pierced or are you waiting until there a little older
Personally I think it should wait until she asks for them herself, my mum did with me and I am with mine. Although no hate to those who have their baby's ears pierced, they do look cute 😂
