YES!!!!!! I just saw it on my town's local news. This is great, hopefully a month earlier than previously said. And despite what the horrifically uneducated like to promote on here, vaccination matters so much. It decreases severity and morbidity of covid when you catch it, but more importantly with kids, they aren't developing the MIS-C syndrome that hospitalizes them after even a very mild covid infection. The leading children's hospital in Cleveland said that 1 in 10 of their pediatric patients has long covid. We're talking kids who were avid dance, soccer, swimming, bike riding, active kids who caught covid a year ago continue to be so fatigued they just stay in bed, but their labs are normal. They think covid goes after the mitochondria in cells and that's why long covid patients feel like a constantly dying cell phone battery.
Long story short, I was giddy with excitement for you mamas who have been waiting for this!

@icebergahead gasping for breaths and not getting enough oxygen is literal torture. I've fallen from gymnastics equipment and had the breath knocked out of me and just that few seconds is horrible. I can't imagine really bad asthma and I can't fathom risking it with covid.

I consider myself extremely lucky as far as symptoms since I tested positive. No fever, no respiratory symptoms at all. I’ve worn a mask around my 4yo and used the home tests on him daily which have been negative and he has zero symptoms. He got a PCR test yesterday so awaiting those results. Vaccinated people do NOT carry or transmit the viral load as strong as unvaccinated people. And masks fucking work.
