Doing a full screen detox with my kids. They have been acting up and been not listening and being very rude and talking back which is so unlike them. Then my son's teacher emailed me tonight and said he has been acting up at school. We have not changed our routine or anything. I know a screen detox wont fix the problem but i really think its a good start. And im including myself in that. I have a limiter set on my phone so i stay off it more. I feel a screen detox and more intentional time spent with the kids will make a huge improvement for all of us.

Idk how long your detox is but we do days with no TV and I love them! I hope this does your little family some good mama.

I'm gunning for a full week. Then I'll start to allow a family movie time.

I’ve done this when she’s acting up. It helps but I have those days where I say F it and give her nuggets and a tablet 🤣

Sometimes things don't have to change for kids to be acting out. Usually it just means they need more support and boundaries. It's great that you're starting with the screen time

I'm going to be implementing a lot of changes but want to go slow so I'm starting with screen time and that includes my own phone so it will force ME to change the way I parent. It's not just about my kids behavior but hopefully it will make me open my eyes and do better by them

I send mine outside for the whole day in the back yard. They have dogs, dirt, and tree swings to keep them busy in the sunshine. 😉

Yeah I cant do that lol. Our property is mostly surrounded by woods and electric fence (our horse pasture borders our yard) and I have no windows on that side of my house except my bedroom to keep an eye on them. That sounds wonderful though!
