I need some tips on tummy time..my sweet girl does tummy time throughout the day but all she does is chew on her fists. I’m pretty sure she’s teething she’s always got her hands on her mouth. Anywho I get on the floor with her to do tummy time, light up toys, any kind of sensory toys and she still refuses to try and to tummy time. It’s like the only thing she’s interested in is having her hands in her mouth 😅 what else can I do to encourage her to push herself up and want to hold her head up?

Do you use the boppy or anything to help prop her up?

I never really thought of using the boopy.. I have the nursing one and the one they recalled like 3 months ago.. I think it’s the lounger pillow.. I didn’t know they wanted you to use them for tummy time 😅

I use the open one, you can use anything to help prop her up just watch her, I’m sure you do, and our pedi said when they’re on your chest and lifting their head that counts as tummy time

im going to try the boopy, I bet that’ll help so much. I do watch her like a hawk lol especially with James around 😂 thanks for the great idea

Lay on your back and put her on your belly for her tummy time. Make sure she has had a good feed and burp first. That fist chewing isn't always a teething issue, but often a sign of hunger or the need for comfort. By putting her on you, you can see her eye to eye and even exercise(butt lifts, leg lifts, crunches) while supporting her safely and giving her encouragement to endure her tummy time. Hope this works for you as it has for me!

So the only time Timmy time works out well is when she lays on my chest… before we do tummy time I try and do a good feeding and get a good burp, but she always ends up with her fist in her mouth 😂 I’m just going to keep doing it on my chest and try out the hoppy pillow. Thank you ☺️

You're very welcome!!! My baby boy will be 5bmonths tomorrow. This worked well for him when he was smaller and now he loves his true tummy time on his own. They love the bonding time and it does us mamas well also!!
