So my soon to be 9yr. old wants a damn oculus for her birthday tomorrow but has failed every test since September and I’ve helped her every night til one day she said I know what I’m doing on my homework so I left her alone.. I’ve tried to explain to her that she really doesn’t know what she is doing.. someone help me!!!!

Might be time to look into a tutor for her. I’m sure the school and help as well.

I would get her a tutor or explore the possibility of a learning disorder if you haven't already. Every test isn't normal. What do her teachers say?
Also maybe get her a gift card towards the oculus as an incentive to work harder. Maybe 2 passing grades and she can get it

This I would look into other tutors or like above said a possible learning disorder mine showed up around that age and its harder to see in girls. I always studied and I always did my work I always asked for help and had a tutor but school and how they taught was not something I did well on. Even if I knew the stuff I would fail a test and to this day same thing. Some learn very different then how its taught.

Echoing getting her extra help such as a tutor. Sometimes the child isn't just being difficult but they genuinely don't know what they are doing. Now about an Oculus, idk what that is, but I probably wouldn't get it, but I don't usually get expensive toys for children. So it'd be a no before she even asked 😅 and she'd know.
