Should I go to urgent care with UTI?
I think, well I’m pretty sure I have a UTI. Should I wait to call the dr in the am and pray they can get me in or go to urgent care? I’m kind of nervous to go because of all the covid stuff.

My mom was just able to call her doctor and they got her a script with out even going in for her UTI. But she wasn’t pregnant so it might be different 😩

Ehhh. I would call your ob and see what they say to do. Maybe they can send in a script and see you first thing in the morning.

@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts 😬 good luck girl. I would definitely rethink the ob situation. I had a UTI with kiddo and I'm pretty sure it put me in labor. Maybe you'll have some relief from those Braxton Hicks once you're on the antibiotics

I would call your ob they will send a lab sheet to go do a urine test to rule out any infection and then if you have a uti they will treat it. That was at least my experience

That’s not the way ours operates unfortunately. They have to schedule you to be seen.

How uncomfortable are you? Do you have someone to stay with the kids?

@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts I just think the OB's phone will ring off the hook on a Monday after a holiday weekend and by the time they even see you, it could be Tuesday. I think urgent care will have very strict masking and disinfection policies. I worry a lot more about stores and public bulidings that aren't medical facilities.

they are all at capacity and aren’t seeing anyone. I called all of them in my city and surrounding. I was finally able to get the on call paged so i’m waiting for a phone call. I don’t want to go to L&D if I don’t have to.

@dontblockmesis-imjustspeakingfacts it's such a mess out there. :( Glad you have a call out! Be sure to explain that they can't see you anywhere because they're overrun. They should call you in a script and get you started on something while they culture your urine next week.

Good advice from everyone. Not sure if azo is pregnancy safe anymore but it’s a lifesaver if you can take it.
