Our Christmas had an unexpected turn, which is fine. Things happen, we made a trip to NY from VA to spend it with family. Currently staying at my husbands sisters home, we had planned to go to my families for Christmas Eve since they were staying home, my sister in law works at an urgent care and around a lot of covid positive patients so she didn’t want to risk anything. He husband unfortunately tested positive for covid, we plan on staying here to limit exposure since my parents are now just starting to feel better. We planned to return home tomorrow and will remain indoors for the remainder of the kids winter break. I’m not sure if I should get tested myself once we return home as a precaution or wait until someone shows symptoms 🤔.

I would either quarantine for 10 days or test the 5th day post exposure. Even if you don’t have symptoms, you could be asymptomatic and still spread. Is he isolating at home?

Once we get home I plan to stay quarantined at home with the kids. My brother in law has already informed his work he will be isolating himself for ten days, he wears a mask when around everyone and has his kids wear one, his kids are not vaccinated and he’s extra careful with his youngest because he’s asthmatic. We have no choice but to leave NY today and drive back home to VA because my husband has to work on Monday.
