Ended up taking my youngest back to urgent care tonight because she was retracting when breathing and super congested. She tested positive for RSV and I’ll have her Covid results in 3 days. The gave her albuterol and a good suctioning. She’s still having a little trouble with the breathing but her vitals were good. I’m a WRECK though. I’m terrified to go to sleep. We’ve been home for a few minutes now and she’s resting but I’m too anxious. I just keep pacing and watching her breathe. The mucus seems to be coming out a little more now which is good I think but I hate the sounds of her breathing heavily and sounds so gunky. Idk how I’m supposed to survive with one Covid kiddo and one RSV (possibly Covid too) baby 😭😭😭😭

@mamallama2317 That is really strange. Rapid test comes back in 20 minutes and PCR 24 hours or less.
@xryztalroze, I figured with her age and her breathing and the exposure that they’d definitely do a rapid
Please keep us posted. I would call her pediatrician, if she has RSV and tests covid positive, they may want to follow her closely, that's a lot for a baby's respiratory system. :( Covid is so contagious that her pediatrician may consider her positive until a test proves otherwise. I can't imagine your stress level.
@mamallama2317 I was seriously just going to message you to see how she was doing. I'm thinking of you guys. I'm sure your stress level is just through the roof. :( It's so hard when they're sick and so little.
@jenx, I feel so exhausted and anxious 😩 luckily my oldest is feeling great! She’s not coughing or feverish or snotty! She’s actually been bouncing off the walls all day lol. I did get the little one to drink some formula and have a little bit of a popsicle. Hopefully she’ll start improving soon!
@mamallama2317 Happy she is hydrating still! That's one thing I do differently due to learning from my girls. I do give little man Pedialyte even though he is so little(15ml at a time, so small amounts as needed). This is cold number 2 and he had Covid in November with us. Covid treated him better than this. He was doing better until tonight. Now he just got sick and the coughing fit and the vomited milk in his nose was frightening. The OCCO is amazing and suctioned him right up so he could breathe better. He is calm and happy now. Definitely a good investment. We have two and love it!!! It helps so much and does a good job without the hassle of the manual aspirators. It's very quick and he hates it but it's over before he knows it. I still use it for my girls, too.
Edit: only thing I wish to be different aboy the OCCO is that I wish the snot reservoir were larger. But that's a small concern. Its cleans easily and works fast so its ok.
Good thing you took her back in! I hope they both get to feeling better soon and you get some rest!
I’m genuinely trying to do this self soothing thing. She’s screaming even though she’s clean, dry and fed, her temperatures fine. She screamed for at least 10 minutes 😩😩I had to just go on about my business. It’s not easy😩😩but it had to be done
As a mother of a child with special needs I am absolutely disgusted by the woman on here who suspiciously began posting pictures of her child recently...seemed too showy like he was on display.

Idk what to do. My daughter is excited to go to school each day but when she’s actually in school she’s giving the teachers such a hard time. She is constantly running out of the classroom, throws tantrums, tells the teacher no & refuses to do any work. I’m really trying to hold off on pulling her back out but I have no idea what to do. I’ve talk to her several times, I’ve taken all of her toys away, took tv time away, told her she can’t play with her siblings yet she’s still doing what she want...
