Болезнь детей: как мы справляемся с RSV
So my 2 yr ok’d had been sick for about two weeks, but I just thought it was a bad cold because with the slightest weather change he gets sick like I do.
He continued to just get worse and then come thanksgiving day my 3 month old woke up with a horrible cough.
I decided to take them to the ER and as soon as we got there they swabbed them to test for rsv, flu, and covid.
An hour later they come back in and told us both boys was positive for rsv.
My 2 yr old seems to be getting on the better side, but not so much my 3 month old.
From Thursday to Saturday he got 10x worse so I took him back to the hospital last night, but they pretty much just told me to hang in there that it will eventually get better.
He’s absolutely miserable. He gasps for air, gets choked, and can’t eat cause he can’t breathe.
I stay up all night because he’s breathing is so bad it scares me.
The picture on the right is Thursday after testing positive, and the picture on the left is this morning.
Three day difference and you can see how much worse he’s gotten.

RSV hit my girls when they were babies worse than Covid just hit my sweet boy two weeks ago. He was born the same day as your sweet baby. I am so sorry!!!! Use an electric aspirator and saline to help him get that goop out of his nasal passage multiple times through the day!!! It will help. Tylenol according to his weight(you can ask the pharmacy for dosing) and constant cupped pats on the back to help break up the mucus in his lungs from the rsv. This is everything we learned from when our now 3 yr old was hospitalized with the rsv. We used the same techniques now even for colds. It really helps. Also, to help his breathing you can stand in a hot shower with him and let him breathe in that steam!!! The heat will help, just don't let the hot water get on him unless you reduce the temp... I'm so sorry he is unwell!!!! Prayers for him to get over it quickly!!!!!!!!
