I saw a comment that somebody doesn’t have appetizers before Thanksgiving dinner. And for some reason that’s all I’ve been able to think about for the last few hours, lmao!
So my question is, do you guys have appetizers before the main meal?? I can’t imagine having everyone stand around without having chips, dips, cheese, crackers, charcuterie, deviled eggs, ect before hand.
What happens during that time? Just talking? Am I a complete fat ass that just can’t wrap my head around not having food before the main meal? 🤣

I have lil snacks and margaritas til everyone gets here cause we are all greedy asses lol. And if you're too late, we start eating without you 🤷🏾♀️🤣
I’m lucky that nobody shows up late in my fam. But we also eat at 5pm so I tell everyone 3pm. Then we snack / chat / play games until dinner time.

@jennatess oh well my kind works on CP Time so there's ALWAYS some late comers lol. We play games also....but we eat way earlier and all day lol
I'm a germ freak so I never offer appetizer because to be honest I don't want our family's nasty paws all in the food im eating. Im so bad I will make my plate and set it aside and my sons all before anyone touches the food. Also we only eat food my parents make if its my sister ,brother or in laws we don't touch it we see how they live...they smell in person 🤮

Not only do we have so many appetizers, but we also have a huge, over the top breakfast while we watch the parade. And then of course way too many desserts after dinner. We pretty much just eat all day long
My mom never had appetizers. She would starve us til the food was ready. 🤣

@jennatess, we used to snack on things but for the most part we waited. Luckily my mom would cook in a timely fashion. 🤣

We eat dinner around 5:00/5:30 and we always have appetizers. Even if I was just having company over I would have appetizers.

Appetizers galore in my house. It’s my favorite part of thanksgiving tbh.
Growing up, we never had appetizers. 🤷🏼♀️ The meal was ready about 12:30pm.
I could definitely understand that then.
Everyone shows up between 12-3pm and then we eat at 5.
No appetizers, water or alcohol either. Unless you bring your own shit. Im kidding. We do just not deviled eggs. Usually a fruit and veggie platter, chips, guac, hummus, cheese, etc.
Sometimes we do, sometimes we don’t. Just depends on who is coming and how many Thanksgivings in one night everyone has to go to.
We always do appetizers because people are never on time. We always end up eating later than planned so I or whoever is hosting puts out at least one or two things for people to snack on while people get organized
My family always has the full spread like you described, my granny even had little mince pies when she hosted. Since we're just doing a small Thanksgiving with the 3 of us, we will eat earlier and it will be a bit simpler, but we will be munching all day. I'd be so mean if I didn't eat all day.

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. Why Are Many Women Unaware of Their Own Anatomy?
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
