When making your baked Macaroni do y’all use the pre-shredded cheese in the bag or do you get the block cheese and shred it yourself? Do you think it makes a difference? Also what kind of cheeses do y’all use? I wanna switch it up this year. I always use sharp cheddar and Gruyere and add Parmesan to the panko topping.
Imma try some Gouda this year. It’s good on burgers never had it in Mac though
@alicianoelle32 it gives it a nice lil kick lol
I use both just depending on what I have and how lazy I am. I usually just use sharp cheddar, sometimes some parmesan in the panko like you said.
shredded. now i’m interested to hear how everyone makes theirs after they shred the cheese.
I make a roux which is basically a cheese sauce I then bake it. Sometimes I'll added some of the shredded cheese that I made on top to bake and make it crispy.
I use the block of Vermont cheddar cheese to make a roux. It's so annoying but I can never find it shredded
Vermont cheddar I’ve been wanting to try it so I think I will this year.
Pre shredded doesn’t melt as well because of all the preservative shit.
Shredding yourself makes a difference. But it depends on how lazy I am. Lol
I normally shred it myself but was gonna half step this year. I might just have to shred it though it makes a difference for sure!
I’ve used block and shredded before it’s easier to use the already shredded in my opinion, I like to use the Colby Jack cheese and sharp cheddar and bread crumb on top I’ve added the velveeta melt cheese before to it also.
I’ve seen a lot of people using velveeta! Gonna try it this year
Cheese that you shred yourself is always MUCH better if you don’t mind the extra work. They put extra junk in the packaged pre shredded stuff to keep it from sticking together. Kinda related, the grated Parmesan from a lot of companies has a surprisingly large amount of wood pulp in it.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
