Typically keeping a kid up late in the hope they wake up late doesn’t work. (I’m not sure if that’s your plan or not lol) 11 is quite late and kids will keep going and going until they crash regardless on if they’re tired beforehand. I’d say set an early bedtime (7:30-8) and see how you get on cos 9ish hours of sleep isn’t a great deal for an under 2

I dont want her to get up late . I dont believe any parent on here has it down to set routine. And I dont think past 9pm is a great bedtime for just over a one year old ..funnily enough . I hate that she goes to sleep so late but if I even try to get her down I just get tantrums and screaming and it stresses me out so much

I agree with the ladies above, routine is key. There will be a few nights of tantrums but you need to be consistent and not give in to her otherwise she will know the longer she tantrums the more likely mummy will let her get her own way.

My 5yo is in bed between 7.30+8pm and sleeps til around 6-7am and the baby has her last bottle around 9am and that's her til 7am.

If you do a routine of bath, pjs, book etc. Put her in her bed give her a kiss and walk away. If she tantrums leave her fora short while, go back in lie her back down, tell her it's bedtime, kiss goodnight and walk away again. It will be time consuming and frustrating but she will pick it up pretty quickly once she realises you're not giving in

Like I said on one of your previous posts, if you get stressed and angry she will play up more as kids love any attention even the bad kind. You will find your life much easier if you give her no reaction and stay calm, keep putting her back to bed no matter how much of a tantrum shes throwing and do not react, dont shout or even speak to her. Just keep putting her back to bed, she will get it eventually x

Ladies first night of many bath, cuddles and bed with her night light on x and she seems sound asleep already x now I'm not gonna lie there were a few cries when I left the room so I gave her a few mins and went in gave her a kiss and a few gentle strokes on the face that she likes and left again..hardest thing ever I have done x

It will get easier! Just be consistent every night and it will be better for you and her. Both of mine from 2 weeks old were in a routine of 7pm-7am (thank god!) Unless we had an occasion like an evening meal where bedtime would be a bit later but they still woke at 7. Now Lexi is in bed for 8pm and Layla goes for 7pm. They both have a book in bed and a back tickle because thats what they like 😂 and they get up between 6.30-7.30. My eldest Lexi had to be sang to, have a book read to her or I had to tickle her back until she fell asleep and she stopped around age 4! It was only then when I could read her a book, say goodnight and leave the room with her awake! It was time consuming but at the time I thought this is how it has to be but with Layla my 3 year old now she has been going to sleep by herself since around 1 and a half and it feels so much better! xx

Well done! You've manged the first night. As Karla said it will get easier. As long as you stay consistent with her she will understand that bedtime means bedtime. By this time next week you'll be surprised at the difference x
