Look at this rare photo I found of the twin towers. The only one I have. Silly me never thought about taking pictures of them before, luckily my uncle took this picture and gave it to my mom years ago. It must be extremely rare now for people to actually have real photographs of the towers. I figure over the years Photographs are things that could become displaced or disposed of easily since technology advanced and everything is through the phones now. Most photographs probably get thrown out over the years.

@myargentinandmystomachhurts, it was on a one-time use cam. He was in shock but able to while I was a mess, on my knees, crying.

I’m gonna see if I can take a picture of it tomorrow. It’s at the John Jay college.

There is actually a piece of the twin tower in the college lobby of the school. It looks like a bronze colored metal slab as a statue now.

My brother still has the photo he snapped when we were on the rooftop, watching the towers on fire, live.

I will have to ask him about it.

I also found out that some of the police officers that died that day were alumni from the college I go to and that others died 10 years later from cancer.

The air quality was horrendous. Many survivors suffered longterm.

I keep finding out crazier and interesting things about the towers still years later. I feel like every year that passes by I’m just finding out more and more things that weren’t available in 2001. I had know idea that there were even survivors. I assumed everyone died in the towers. I read a few survivor stories recently and I am amazed that they are alive. One guy free fell from the 22nd floor by leaning on a concrete slab. 😱 He broke a leg but luckily he didn’t get hit on the head or anything.

I found out another crazy thing too. One of my cousins grandparents was in the area that day but in another building. He died about 5 years ago from cancer. I just realized that it is possible that he got the cancer from breathing in all of the asbestos that day. 😱

I remember going to the top, twice. It was so high and the cars looked like micro machines.

I feel so silly that I didn’t get the chance to go in the towers. My father asked me if I wanted to go with him 2 weeks before 9/11 and I was lazy about the idea and said another time. 🤦🏻‍♀️
I used to go around the towers sometimes with my father. We used to eat around there and walk around the neighborhood. I miss this really delicious diner that was there. Too bad I can’t remember the name of the place. I bet they aren’t in business anymore.
