Morgan got referred to an OT to be tested for Dyspraxia back in May. He's still on a waiting list & apparenly he could be waiting until December or January. I know these things take time but wow. 8months to wait to even see someone. His new teacher said she thinks Dyslexia (which I agree with & have mentioned a few times since he started school). I don't really have a point to this post. I'm just feeling a bit stuck in limbo now & want to be able to support Morgan however I can. I found a suport group on facebook but could only join if the child was diagnosed. Are there any other support groups you know of? Or a book/ info I can get hold of on supporting children with Dyslexia/ Dyspraxia? Thanks 🙏

Has school giving him a overlay sheet? Im also undiagnosed and still to this day I ask my oh is it p for Paul or B for Ben 🙈 if I read i skip half of it and then it makes no sense. But them sheets work wonders if you can find the correct colour for him. (Blue) was for me. Also ring an ask for his name to be put on the cancellation list. Xx

I don't think they have because he's not diagnosed with anything yet. However now his new teacher is on the same page as me & has said she's going to speak with senco again, hopefully they will be able to try a few things in class to help. I don't know about the colours & how they help. I'd have to ask them if they know.

My oldest has dyspraxia the OT gave us a range of exercises to do, but that would obviously be dependant upon which areas he struggles with. I did find these info sheets with exercises to help. We were waiting about a year before we saw our OT.

Oh gosh could have a while longer then! Thanks for these I've had a quick read through & read them. Morgan loves the park, climbing & trampoline. We go to the park most days after school as it's on the way home. It's sports he avoids. I've tried so many times to get him involved with schools sports or even just at home playing tennis, football etc lol

yeah my oldest hates sports. He's recently started swimming and I've already seen a massive improvement in his coordination outside of the pool.
