I’m always baffled at the sheer amount of parents who will justify and whine and cry about food restrictions at school if their kid is in a nut free school/classroom. Apparently making sure a kid DOESNT DIE isn’t as important as your precious snowflake having their “homemade lunch” or their PB and J sandwiches 🙄🙄🙄🙄

People are straight assholes and do NOT care about other people’s children but expect the world to bend over backwards for their little precious. It’s sick.

Our schools can have nut products for lunches but not for snack as snacks are in the classroom. Mia had a child in her class that was deathly allergic to peanuts. So much so the teacher asked for prepackaged snacks. But some of the snacks I like to buy in bulk so I would email the teacher a picture of the ingredients any and every morning I sent a snack not prepackaged. Like popcorn. I wasn’t messing around with another child’s life. People are selfish and ridiculous.

@squishymommy1, yeah we definitely did a lot of prepackaged which is so much more expensive but again this is a child’s life. The teacher loved I’d email her ingredients and knew not to send anything that had even been processed near peanuts. Some people just literally have their heads up their asses. It’s crazy.

It’s just such a simple thing to do “bUt PrEpAcKeD sTuFf IsNt HeAlThY” neither is a child dying from cross contamination
