Tips on breastfeeding!?

When Keegan was born he was 9lbs 2oz.

When we got released from the hospital he was 8lbs 11.4oz.

When he seen his pediatrician he was 8lbs 6oz last Thursday.

&& today he was 8lbs 4oz when he saw his pediatrician.

I really wanna breastfeed and not have to supplement or stop completely.

Mine was born the same day as yours and he also lost a few oz. It's normal up to 10% of their weight. Anything beyond that they start to worry. It's expected by time they are two weeks old that their weigh is steadily going up. Keep at it. You can do it. Read the book:

Breastfeeding Made Simple

It will tell you everything you need to know!

Keep trying and don’t give up. It’s normal for them to lose weight after birth. The more he feeds or try to feed the more your supply will increase. It’s super hard in the beginning but don’t give up. Try to get to open wide before giving him the breast. Keep him up while he feeds off possible so he will eat more. Rub his ear to wake him. Use pilliows if you don’t have a boppy or my best friend pilliow to hold you and baby up. It will get easier. You got this 🥰💕

He is fine. He will increase supply when he needs too. A drop in weight is normal for babies. There is nothing wrong with that. How is the output? That determines your supply.

@rnbee, I don’t, which is why I suggested a lactation consultant (is that a breastfeeding certificate?) and to have the baby checked for a tongue tie. What I didn’t say was “he’s fine! Wait a month and see!” You’ll learn if you are in fact in the medical field that what you are saying is dangerous and you are not qualified to make medical assumptions/decisions. Your advice is to wait a month when a newborn lost 14oz in 10 days? 5oz over the 10% that is expected? Nah. Even if he isn’t gaining yet, he should at least be maintaining.

@momgroupreject Miss. I am not sure why you are still going with this nor do I care. Her baby is fine. You arguing this dead subject is just making you mad for no reason at all and it is pointless. Are you a medical professional simply because you had this one experience? Then by all means give your best advice. Just like me and the other 2 mothers stated, her supply will adjust on its own, a drop is weight is normal for ALL babies, there is nothing to be concerned about at this point in time as the child is voiding appropriately and the baby was at the doctors already. He saw the pediatrician Thursday and Today. They are aware of what is going on with her baby, if there was concern then it would be addressed. You are just hell bent on being the one to tell her that her baby is not doing well so go for it in your own comment!!!! You keep coming back with the same response over and over 😂😂 but you are not qualified to make medical decisions so why are you even commenting to correct someone else 😆😆😆. I can't with you. You are such a hypocrite. She is asking for tips and mine is too keep doing what you are doing just like the other ladies stated before me. You can continue to argue girlie, but it won't be with me. Good night and good luck.

Feed more often, up your calories and drink lots of water. It’s normal for newborns to loose weight I wouldn’t be concerned yet. Stay positive 💕💕

Keep breastfeeding, it’ll increase your supply. Make sure you are eating enough calories and staying plenty hydrated.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Without any judgement... can someone remind me what fever temp is mandatory to go to the ER or pediatrician. Bellamy’s pediatrician is extremely old school, so when I called for advice to help bring his fever down and told him it was 100.3, he completely freaked out and told me to bring him in.😣 Just when I thought I was doing everything right, I find out I can’t even tell the difference between a low or high grade fever. 🤦🏻 ♀ stupid Mia.🙃
