I am laying down now and thinking, that i love my sleep. 😂🤷♀️ And i am starti g to being scared of sleepless nights ahead of me. 😫 Specially i been use to going aleep around 12am so i really need to start making my slef more tired during the day and go sleep by at least 10pm or even 9:30pm dame as my son. How do you ladys got your self prepared for the new born and sleeoless nights? What helped you tk be less tired? Please share with me so i might use your experience for my slef 🙏😘
Also ladys that have they kids in school! What time does your children go to bed when its school week? My son stays go bed 10pm now. But he will be starting school from September so i would love to start putting him into a routine and getting him prepared for school, and also my self for the baby.
Thank you....xx

I don’t think there’s anything you can do to prepare yourself for the sleepless nights but there is things you can do to make night feeds easier like keeping the things baby will need next to your bed so it’s more convenient when they wake up and less stressful. Also make sure the bedroom is dark during bedtime as they need to become familiar with the differences between day and night, a little lamp that’s not overpowering helps during night feeds.
On weekends my husband will get up in the morning with the kids so I get a bit of a lie in, I’ve noticed eating healthier has also helped with my tiredness too.
Try not to worry! As you’ve done it before everything will come back to you from when you had your son ☺️ x

Hey, thank you for your reply. My son wasn't crying a lot at night as far as I remebr. And he always slept so good. We already got a small night lamp special for new born it's soo nice and not bright but makes you see everything next to the baby bed and my bed. 👌🥰 i feel like I forgot everything from when my son was new born 😂 x

bless you I felt exactly the same when I was pregnant with my second, but honestly it all just comes back to you the minute they’re born 🥰 x

My little boy starts school at 8:50am so we aim to get to bed for 7/7:30pm on school nights, it means he wakes at 7/7:30am and leaves us with plenty of time to get ready and walk to school :) I know an earlier bedtime can be hard to achieve during the summer months, I would recommend getting a black out blind and a black out curtain. It really helps :) x

My son school is just 5mins from our house which is amazing 👌😃, and I think they starting at 8.50am or 9am. But I will be waking up at 7:30 aswell as it takes him forever to have his breakfast 🙄 eating is the most stressful part of the day with my son 😄 x

yes, breakfast time is a drag in this house too 😂
As the other ladies have said you may have a really good sleeper this time around. My first was awful, up every 40 minutes for a feed at night until he was 18 months. My second is much better, she slept through from 6 weeks until a couple of months ago. Now she wakes twice a night, but she is going through some sort of developmental leap I think because she is grizzling a lot too. X

I massively prepared myself for sleepless nights as tommy was horrendous at sleeping as a newborn he was up every 1-2 hours for feeds and I actually remember thinking is it possible to die of tiredness 😂
So that's what I was expecting when Emie was born but shes actually been an angel, she goes to sleep at 10pm, wakes at 3am for a feed and then back to sleep until 6 and has been doing that for the last 4 weeks.
So you never know you might get a lucky one like me 😂 xx

Once your son starts school it will wear him out and you may find a routine falls into place for him.
As for baby there’s not really anything you can do to prepare for sleepless nights, either way you have to get up if baby wakes for a feed, i personally enjoyed night feeds because it gives you that bonding time alone with baby especially in the first few weeks/months. If you’re tired in the day coffee is there lol xx

@aleksandravolkova1693, yeah haha, start stocking up lol you might need it! When I put my youngest to sleep for the night around 9pm I stayed awake until the next feed as I found it was better for me to have a good few hours deep sleep than broken light sleep, you’ll figure out what’s best for you when baby arrives, we become pretty adaptable especially when in the newborn bubble xx

I tried for the first few weeks but he had tongue tie so it was hard and painful, we even struggled getting him to latch on to a bottle with it but finally things smoothed out! Xx

I've got a lucky one.. she's slept through the night since she was 3 weeks old. She goes down at around 10/11pm and that's her until 7.30 the next morning. I'm still staying up til 1-2am though so I'm still knackered 🙈

I tried breastfeeding this time but couldn't cope with the pain so we're formula only

With your son he will probably fall into an earlier routine as school really does tire them out. My daughter went back to school Tuesday and was up during summer until 10 every night out playing until 9. She woke up at 5.30 on Tuesday as she was so excited for school however every night since she’s been asleep at 8.30. I get up at 6.30 and she gets up at 7.15. I put her to breakfast club at 8.15 as I start work at 9am :)
