Does anyone know if you’re allowed antibiotics during pregnancy? I’ve got a broken wisdom tooth, dentist said she can’t give me antibiotics but everybody else I’ve spoken to reckons she can. Although the same dentist said I could go under general anaesthesia to have it removed only to have my referral rejected by the hospital because of pregnancy. 🤦♀️

I had amoxicillin when I was pregnant with Reuben, and funny enough that was for a broken tooth lol. I had my referral rejected cause of pregnancy and they said once I had Reuben they’d do it however Reubens nearly 3 and it’s still been rejected… so I I dunno I may just have to go and get it removed at the dentist lol X

Ughhh I thought I was! I mean she’s probably being precautious. They said I could wait and go under after she’s born but the pain is unbearable, so having it done under a local at the dentist and I’m terrified 🙃

Yeah I’ve spent most of my pregnancies on antibiotics for bladder infections. I had an abscess on a tooth at 38 weeks pregnant and they put me on antibiotics.

@jo.wilcox, that’s my problem too. I’m shit scared of needles. Honestly it’s like a little scratch on your gum and kicks in so quickly! You’ll be dribbling in no time 😂

pain was unbearable last night so Craig got me emergency appointment this morning. Had it out. Dunno what I was getting so worked up for it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I was expecting! X

Yeah I've been on them for infected ingrowing toenail while pregnant and UTI. I feel for you, tooth pain is fucking hideous. I feel terrible at the moment my oldest is on antibiotics cause of an abcess and we can't control his pain 😔

I’ve had amoxicillin too during pregnancy it was for tonsillitis but they defo prescribe it even when pregnant as it’s safe to take x
