Does mastitis cause a red streak coming from the areola? I feel fine but my breast and nipple are heavy and sore. My midwife honestly sounded clueless. What can I do? *Pic in comments *

Yup they can especially if causing an infection. I would contact your actual doctor and get some antibiotics

I’m going to try and go in tomorrow. She said she’d call some in but I couldn’t get them tonight anyways so I’d rather someone look at it first. I’d been sore all day but the red streaky vein is very new.
