There's quite a bit of science behind not washing every single day, your skin provides passive immunity against germs and bad bacteria. We never use antibacterial soap and we shower every other day unless we are doing heavy work or something like that.
I absolutely don't agree when they say not bathing kids unless you see dirt, that's gross.

It is not recommended (or necessary) to bathe daily but I have to take at least one shower a day or else I would feel yucky.

I bathed every day after work. But definitely skip a day if I am just hanging around my clean house.
