So I wake up this morning with a notice in my rental portal. It is saying that my neighbors made a complaint that my kid’s cut their bushes and turned on their outside water and flooded their yard! I remember this day cause when we got home we saw the water but my kids are never outside and we were not home! We were actually at my sons occupational therapy evaluation appointment! They want proof it wasn’t them would a letter or a screenshot of the appointment suffice? And would you say anything to your neighbors or just let it go? Cause I feel like being petty 🤷🏽♀️
Edit:I spoke to the therapist office and they’re going to have his therapist write me a letter. Once I get it I’ll be emailing it and texting it to our property manager and calling her immediately after. Like I have proof it wasn’t them they shouldn’t be sending me notices that it was them without any proof 🤬
Yeah we don’t speak to each other at all. We are literally always inside and don’t talk to or bother anyone. Property manager was no help said she’s sorry she doesn’t have a specific date of the incident and maybe I should go talk to My neighbors to find a resolution and everything will be fine so long as it doesn’t happen again what bs I know the day and have proof we weren’t here
@prettygirlrock1214surromom no specific date? But they're fining you? Yeah, talk to the neighbor and get the date. I don't think the letter will help much if "there's no specific date."
@mujerstillregal, exactly she’s lying it’s obvious not about the complaint but not knowing a date! Cause we saw the flooding when we came back home that day and the neighbors asked my husband if our kids happened to be outside which uh no we weren’t even home
I would say something! It’s pretty shitty to complain and blame your kids without any proof. F that 🙄
I’m very annoyed and once they waive the fees trying to give us I’ll be asking the property manager if they’ll be getting fined for lying! Like why would they go by hearsay? And what if we weren’t at an appointment that day we would be fined and possibly evicted, how is that fair at all?
I'd speak to the property manager even before I got the letter from the therapist. Since they're just handibg out fines based on word of mouth. If the neighbor and I never really spoke to each other, I probably wouldn't say anything
