At what age did you put your kid in a toddler bed? My son started climbing out of his so I put the mattress on the floor. Well that worked for about a month and now he has realized that he can move his crib and crawl under it. I laid him down for a nap today and I was cleaning and and out comes Taylor. Idk what to do.

I think that’s going to be what we do too!

NEVER did a toddler bed, waste of money if you ask me. 🤷♀️ He went from bedsharing with us to a queensized bed in his room.
Yeah I’m starting to think it’s a huge waste too!
Skipped toddler beds and went to full size. Took a few days to adjust, but once they got the hang of it it's been great.
I think that’s going to be what we do too!
We lived very tiny and cramped so we had a crib that converted
Ours concerns too but idk how lol
@momx4, @spicymamianiify, @icebergahead, @humblewarriormama, yeah I think I’m going to skip the toddler bed too! He’s already huge so he will most likely grow out of it fast lol
Skipped toddler bed as well, went to a full size floor bed.
I skipped toddler bed. Went with twin.
Put my daughter in one at 2 1/2 she did great switching and has only slept in my bed once since moving to her own bed !
It’s easier to go straight to a twin bed. At 2 mine were in one
We didn't do toddler beds. We switched to twin beds with those rail things at 1.
How did they do at 1? Did they get up constantly
@llcoolkay, My oldest did amazing. He loved sleep. 😂 when his brother was 1 he would get out and try to get in bed with my oldest so I'd go in and lay him back in his bed a few times and eventually he caught on and didn't do it anymore.
@scream.queen, maybe I’ll try doing that
Never did. Skipped right to a shared full size for one year and now at 3 and 5 they have twin over full bunks. The little one on top and occasionally she will sleep "down stairs" with her sister. The new baby will graduate to a twin trundle bed under the bunks once old enough to sleep in the "big kid room". Of course my due date isn't for three weeks so there's plenty of time to worry about 3.0. Lol.
I want to get my kids bunk beds but they make me kind of nervous.
We personally never did toddler beds. We went to a twin with rails after the crib
Yeah I really don’t want to have to buy a toddler bed then a twin once they outgrow that. I’ll probably try that.
I’m not sure if you mean placing the mattress on the floor inside of the crib? If so, I just read an article the other day about how a few kids have died from this set up bc they tried crawling under the crib rails and got stuck. Not sure if that’s what you meant but thought I’d share just in case!
Omg that’s exactly what I did. Thank you so much sharing. That’s so scary.
@llcoolkay, Of course! I don’t know that I would’ve realized that could happen if I hadn’t seen the article. My oldest was an escape artist and we transitioned him at 2.5 — it was a disaster! I hope the crib tent above will help! I would’ve tried it with my oldest if I had known about it!
@ekko, I never would have thought that would be a possibility. I know it’ll be super hard if we transition him now.
We got this for eric like a year ago.
Eric is a monster and can destroy anything.. so I thought for SURE he’d rip this thing apart.
Nope! It’s the best!
He was mentally not ready for a toddler bed, so this was a life saver.

@jennatess, lol at least it didn’t ruin it. Ugh I know Charley is the one that taught him he could move it lol
@llcoolkay, hahahah! Partners in crime, for sure.
