my week old baby has his eyelid swollen and red, it had went away earlier but came back , any idea what it could be or what i could give him

Wipe his face good, If you bf you could put a drop in his eye and massage it, warm compress....I can't remember if clogged ducts swell but maybe call and get it looked at if it's still there in AM or gets worse.

My son had this off and on until exactly a year ago.
Our pediatrician recommended a gentle, but firm massage on the upper bridge of the nose, kind of between the corner of the eye and the nose bridge.
On the side of the eye is swollen.
Of course, warm compresses as well.
But for us, the massage helped the most.
