Am I the only one that feels a tiny surge of sadness while breastfeeding? Not towards baby, just in general. I’ll be fine then he starts nursing and I feel all depressy, then fine again.

Dopamine levels (happy hormone) have to fall slightly in order for the hormone that makes milk to rise. Sometimes the dopamine levels can drop too fast and can bring on a feeling of sadness which could be happening to you.

No my friend has these periods of extreme depression when her milk lets down. It's only for a minute or two...it has a name but I'll have to find it

I did it five years I’m already severely depressed it didn’t really help or add to it lol
