I brush my kids teeth twice a day. I'm huge on oral hygiene. They eat healthy snacks 90% of the time and have juice like twice a week and only drink water. But of course my son now has cavities and has to go have teeth surgically removed. My daughter just had it done a couple weeks ago. I feel like this makes me look so neglectful but I'm not 😭

A lot of teeth health and quality. Is genetic. No matter how well you take care them. Genetics always wins.

My parents never had any problems with their teeth. So In my 28 years of life i only had 1 cavity. Oral hygiene wasent my priority i only brushed in the mornings never flussed 😬. I started brushing day and night plus flussing maybe a little over a year.. Im not a huge fan of candy or juices thou.. The point here is no matter how often you brush if the parents have bad teeth so will you. 😕

You're a good mama! I felt like this with my older son and had a lot of work done to his teeth that he is now losing! 🤣 I'm like the tooth fairy better leave this sucker behind! 😄 The enamel on baby teeth is crazy thin and once they get a cavity they tend to go pretty fast. 😔

My husband had horrible teeth as a young child his mom said. He said his adult teeth were much better

Sometimes you can’t help it. My husband and his family have history of bad teeth problems. My oldest had to have his surgically removed when he was little but it was caused by antibiotics prescribed to him. They miscalculated the strength and it ended up being too much for him at the time. It ended up eating away at his enamel. Crazy things can happen.

It's tough! :( my husband has genetically bad teeth, he flosses, rinses, and brushes constantly.

When they are old enough, it can help to let them chew one piece of sugar free gum after they have had anything gummy or crackers. I read that crackers mashed into the molars are breeding grounds for bacteria film. My daughter LOVED goldfish crackers.

I'd probably eliminate the juice since it's maybe too sugary?. Does their toothpaste have fluoride in it? Maybe they need a different type of toothpaste and brushes. Also don't forget flossing! Ugh hopefully he recovers quick from it though.

I am going to stop the juice and I use the toothpaste and brushes the dentist recommended and I floss every night. My MIL said my husband had terrible teeth as a young child.

@countrypeaches42013 I forgot to add just like most said here it can be genetics also. I don't believe you're doing anything wrong so I bet it's hard 😕.
