Advice? Thoughts? My oldest is 5 and he has three cavities at his annual cleaning, so they are doing fillings/crowns. They are doing one side at a time and two weeks ago they did one on the right side, and today they “attempted” the other two on the left side. What really end up happening is I asked for a afternoon appointment because he absolutely not a morning person! He hates mornings and it’s a 💩 show in the mornings lol anyways they refused to give me one even though I was willing to wait?? But yeah they gave me a 7am appointment and we live 40 minutes away. Mind you this is a pediatric dentist. So I show up to the appointment with my crabby kid cuz he’s tired and he doesn’t want to be there and he wants to go back to bed because summer vacation just started so yeah he was irritated. He started crying at the beginning of the fillings and the dentist did nothing to reassure him everything is okay. He eve. Had the laughing gas. He said he was tired and just wanted to sleep and didn’t want to do this right now. She drilled a hole in his tooth...left and said she can’t do this today and didn’t even let me talk to him like I asked her too and she walked out of the room and I talked to my son and he said he’s really tired and I asked if he would just finish it real quick and we can go home and go to bed and he said yeah he will! She came back in and said he will have to be sedated next time and my insurance doesn’t cover that and it’s $350!! I don’t have that...and I also don’t want him sedated 🙄 he doesn’t need to be sedated. He wasn’t mad or upset but she legit left a hole in his tooth and nothing I can do about it but have it fixed obviously! I don’t know why they can’t give me an afternoon appointment and I even asked for a different dentist but didn’t get one. I’m annoyed and have no idea what to do since they are the only pediatric dentist around us that takes our insurance 😭

I’m allowed back there and everything and I think she was more upset that I defended mr son and didn’t like the way she was acting towards him or me! Lol I’m not afraid to stand up for me kids!
I just wanted to say I've the reason they don't do afternoon appointments for littles is because they have to not eat at least two hours before the laughing gas which is hard to do. My daughter's pediatric dentist only does morning appointments for 10 and under too.
His first appointment was in the afternoon and they never mentioned anything about eating 🤦🏼♀️

So... Won't his quality of life be affected by him having a hole in his tooth? I would be upset, they would be upset, I wouldn't have left until they fixed his tooth or called the cops to escort me out (even though I know how that could turn out 😬) I think it's ridiculous that she left a hole in his tooth, that is unprofessional, I'd complain about her, it's unacceptable what she and her office did, smh
100% agree with you!!! I basically was fighting it but just ended up leaving I am honestly confused on why they would do that in the first place and just fill it?
This is why I’m scared to move out of the city 😬there’s so many more places and things around us. Perhaps making that longer drive to a different dentist may be worth it. At least he’s on summer break.
😳😳😳😱😱 OMG I'd want to punch her in the face! Can your dentist do the work? Honestly, I would probably go somewhere else and pay out of pocket to get it finished. How bad were the cavities? She is not a dentist I want near my kid or their mouth!!
They weren’t that bad! Like maybe just formed...he takes good care of his teeth but we have bad teeth genetics on both mine and his dad side of the family so it happens! And what me and my husband are talking about doing...even though we don’t know if we can honestly afford it unless they refund us what we did pay for his treatment
@paigerue2013 she didn't complete the work, she shouldn't charge you shit! She can come out of pocket on what she did do. What teeth are they working on? The hole has to have a filling and depending on how deep it was she should have put a temporary in. If I were you I would put bad reviews on anything and everything possible.
Time for a different dentist. Look for a family dentist
@no062014, Oh my Gosh! that is ridiculous!! She 100% could sue without getting that parental consent! I refused to sign anything that they wanted me too when leaving the office with the hole in his tooth cuz it was saying they aren’t liable but I said I’m not signing anything because you are liable!!
@no062014, that is great and sound so much better I am 100% looking into a family dentist! Cuz they probably be better anyways compared to this one!
@paigerue2013 ask for family referrals to. See if there are any small family dentist offices available. It's how I found my daughter and my current dentist. It's the dentist, 2 hygienist 3 nurses and a receptionist. It's a really small office. But way worth it. And they are 10 mins from my house. The one previous for my daughter was 45 mins away

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years...

I would be going to a different dentist. Im in the process of looking for a new one for my son because he is 6 and with the pandemic they won't let me in the room with him and he panics if im not with him and someone strange in near him. Im sorry they were not more understanding of him being a child. I feel like since the pandemic doctors and dentist rush and try to get everyone in and out so fast but forget young kids need to feel safe before they start touching them.
