This alone makes me add Texas to the places I will never travel to again. I've been flip flopping for the last decade after visiting relatives ten years ago but this, this sealed the deal.

That’s just stupid. Getting a background check isn’t that hard. You’d think the state would make everyone get one just for the revenue it brings
