Ive made the hard decision to decline any further induction.. after being examined today i find out that yesterday the propess wasnt even inserted in the right place so its done absolutely nothing. Im in agony from the examinations to the point im having to sit on a cushion, i was literally sobbing in pain. (My last examinations with my son werent anything like this pain)
The doctors been out to explain the risks of declining and to explain that id need to sign a disclaimer passing liability over to myself..
Im waiting for him to come back round to dicuss my next plan whether it be an elective section or let nature take its course. Im terrified of something going wrong but at the same time i cant physically bear the thought of anything being placed up there.
Just hoping im making the right decision

Aweh nooo! Just ready your status!!! Hoping your feeling okay this Morning!! And hopefully things start moving so you can be back for Wednesday for yours boys birthday!! Induction is horrible!! I was induced with Mckenzie because I had preeclampsia and jeeehz!!! Worst experience ever!! I sympathise you I really do! Hugs and kisses beaut!!xxx

Getting some tightening on the monitor (I can't feel it yet though) so hopefully this propess is working. I'm more concerned about the pain down there! Everything feels so swollen and sore 😅

I am so sorry you are going through this! Its horrible when they don't listen to you and support your decisions! Its almost as if none of them have had babies before, end of pregnancy and going into labour is hard enough without having people treat you like you don't want the best for your baby and yourself. They forget you are actually a person sometimes!
This is something I didn't know when I had Theo, but you can refuse physical examinations before and during labour. I wish I had known because they were the worst part of the whole experience. I was going to refuse with Aniela.

I'm having to have the physical exams to have the induction 😩 they're constantly jabbing around in there with pessarys!
Some tightening are picking up on the monitor so hopefully this one is doing something x

Next propess is in. An older midwife did it and thankfully it wasn't anywhere near as painful as the others. This will stay in for 24 hours now and hope that something happens😩. Wanted to be home by Wednesday for my boys birthday 😢

They've now refused to sign my discharge because she had one heart rate drop on the monitor just before I was about to leave.. I've been in tears at them, I've had the Dr up from labour ward arsey bitch saying 'so when do you actually want this baby to be born then?' I've told her I'm traumatised from the examinations I've been having and I still feel in agony down there, all for nothing because it wasn't even inserted in the right place. Telling me that I'm in the wrong as I'm risking a still birth by discharging myself.
All I've been told is that they want to try another pessary but I can't bear to put myself through the pain of having her ramming her hand up there again 😩

Sorry to hear you're having a shit time with the induction! 😩 can't believe it wasn't done right! Why is it they were not letting you go over, was it to do with her growth? Layla was 10 days late. I delivered her 17 minutes before my induction was due to start. At about 35 weeks she was still breech so they said to me that I could have the rotation thing done to try and get her to turn.. I declined. Then they said I could have an elective section.. I declined. So they said I could go 10 days over and they would deal with it then but that meant I might need an emergency c section if she was still breech. I trusted my gut and thought I will just wait it out and get to labour and see what happens. She turned the day I went into labour! Whatever you decide to do is up to you and no one else and you will know what the right decision is for you and your baby xx

This is why I'm terrified of being induced, just seems so unnatural 😩 definitely ask about an elective section as that might be a better option. I cant believe they didnt even insert it into the right place 🤦♀️ hope this is all over for you soon lovely, must be so frustrating as you had your heart set on this weekend xxx

Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear this, honestly after everything you are going through and the pain I don’t blame you for declining. Whatever decision you make is the right one for you so do not feel pressured in to something you are uncomfortable with xx
