Out of all your births which was your roughest labor?
Elliots by far was the toughest on me, they started Pitocin at 9pm the night I went in. I handled the contractions awesome with that. As soon as they got o be to much I got the epidural. But then when they turned the Pitocin up to 16 i think it was my blood pressure plummeted and I had to have two doses of medicine to bring it back up. With that I was numb ended up throwing up all over myself. I was so numb at this point that I couldn’t move when they changed the bedding and my gown. I was dilating quickly and contractions every 2-3 mins which thankfully I couldn’t feel. My blood pressure kept going lower and lower so they turned my epidural off, I fell asleep for like 20 mins started feeling them on my right side and then pressure and Elliot was born 5 mins later with one push and a laugh lol. She told me push stop and laugh and he was out. My smallest little man yet.

But because it was my first time going into labor naturally and my first time refusing pain meds, which as far as the pain meds went, I buckled by 8cm and got the epidural.

See they let me get the epidural anytime I wanted so I got it at like 3/4 I’ve also given birth twice with absolutely no drugs so this time I wanted one lol.

@supermomof4 I was honestly surprised they did it myself. I always thought the cut off was 6. But I regretted it instantly, I had a mid wife like nurse who they called on when I said natural, she was trying to coach me through it, meanwhile the other non mid wife like nurses where like are you SURE! We can do this epidural now. 😅 I had to scream at the mid wife lady, cause she wouldn't get the epidural people when I asked. Then she disappeared. But she was right, I knew it was gonna slow my labor down, I was 9cm when they laid me back down from the epidural and stayed there for almost 2 freaking hours, had I not gotten the needle I would have had him in minutes.

@backwoodsxbarbie, I understand that too well. That happened with my first so when I went into labor with my second I wasn’t going to the hospital early and changing it. I stayed home until I couldn’t talk through contractions and then had to drive an hour to the hospital. But I ended up having him all natural no nothing.

My son forsure !! I asked for epidural at 6:45pm at 4cm ... didn’t even make it in time to get it .. started pushing at 7:30pm and he tore me up bad !!! But my daughter the contractions were by far the worst Cuz I had back and butt contractions .. terrible

Only side effect I had this time was the back pain but it went away like within one day. With my third son I tried for the epidural they got the tape on my back but it was to late he came out like 3 mins later but I got a spinal headache with him for a whole week, he said at the time he didn’t inject with anything but I never was absolutely sure about that.

My youngest two were the roughest but still not too bad. My 2 year old was face up so it caused my epidural to not take in some places, and then with my youngest my epidural only took in my stomach. It didn't take bellow my pelvis so while I couldn't feel contractions in my stomach I felt them in my cervix and of course felt her come out. I wasn't prepared for that. 😂

I can say all 3 were pretty pleasant. I had 2 emergency inductions and 1 I went into labor on my own. All 3 without pain meds because I love the labor and delivery experience where I feel everything. I tore with each but nothing traumatic.

Idk I got two epidurals with my second the first one wore off and then my last one was 7.pds 9ozand that’s huge for me so idk
