Been trying to think of the perfect way to spend Mother's day and honestly I'm just excited to go to church with my family and spend my day with my children. The idea of being pampered and being able to go do things on my own and long naps and me time sounds great but after really thinking about it, it seems silly to want a "day off" on mother's day and not spend time with the little people that give me the title "mom".

I spend EVERY day with the little person that calls me Mom. For ONE day of the year, he can fully depend on the person he calls Dad. 🤷♀️

@leonardsquared to my husband holidays and birthdays and anniversaries are just normal days. He doesnt celebrate any of it and couldnt care less to do anything (which is fine, I've gotten used to it at this point lol) so my birthday is the one day I'd like for just myself (never happens but a woman can dream 🤷♀️) 😂 Father's day I'll leave my husband alone with the kids to celebrate his fatherhood lol

I’m the same way, I love spending the time with my family. If I lived close enough to my mom we would all spend it with her. That’s what we do my siblings and I would give our mom gifts and take her out to eat. If it’s a nice day out we are going to the beach.

I agree. Wouldn’t want to spend my Mother’s Day without the child that created a mother 💕 Maybe when she’s older we could do some pampering together, but for now, dad can make breakfast and coffee while I lay in bed. The rest of the day will be love and cuddles and chocolate 😋
