My almost 4 year old is starting to have pretty strong BO coming from his underarms. I feel like this is starting too early π« anyone go through the same thing? What deodorant would you recommend for him?
My daughter went into a false puberty around 6. If you notice any hair growing in his private area or underarms let your doctor know. They check for early puberty vs false puberty by doing a left hand xray it's easy peasy. No needles.
My kiddo uses Tom's of Maine Wicked Cool for girls, but they make a boys one also.
@iltoco I hope my reply didn't sound rude, I didn't mean for it to. My BIL had to see a pediatric endicrinologist and we have docs and nurses in the family, so it was just the most logical step and saved a copay to go right to the specialist because we could.
I guess it's pretty common, the BO and hair growth. Our doc said to stay away from lavender scented products because they've found those to be the most hormone disruptive.
@jenx It didn't sound rude at all! We had to get a referral for our insurance to cover the appointment. June was literally the soonest they could get her in and its at a children's hospital in a different city even.
My brother started having smelly armpits too Wen he was that age lol I Dnt think my mom put anything on him. jst would make him wash him underarms every few hours
I was just reading something the other day that is a child under the age of 8 or 9 gets consistent BO, it might be something to mention to a pediatrician. Not to scare or worry you but I literally just read that this week.
