Guys with regards to my sore throat and earache the doctor prescribed me antibiotics. It's been in pain since Monday and I still haven't started the dose. It is manageable pain. I am 25 weeks pregnant. Not sure whether to wait it out or take it? It is amoxicillin xx

Does the doctor know you’re pregnant? I’ve just checked on the NHS website and it says it’s safe during pregnancy. I guess amoxicillin will help your earache to go, I don’t think it can go by itself. Hope it helps xx

Your doctor must think its bacterial. I dont think bacterial infections usually go on their own. Hope you feel better soon x

If the doctor gave you antibiotics and knows you’re pregnant then Ideally you should have started the medication when you got it x

I’ve taken amoxicillin during pregnancy had no problems I had tonsillitis and the doctor prescribed me them if I was you I’d take them x

yes I think I did either 5 or 7 but take them as the doctor is the professional and knows what they’re talking about they wouldn’t prescribe something if it wasn’t safe. Plus your earache/throat might get a lot worse otherwise xx
