What does this look like?? I’ve always thought it was eczema but it’s just getting worse. Even with the prescription cream the doctor gave him!
@llcoolkay, I know the feeling my son love figures abs I just couldn’t stop him from eating it
It could be eczema because you two year old had eczema and it took them a whole year to figure that out his skin is just has bad if not worst I tried everything but nothing seems to work
I talked to his dr the other day and she put him on a steroid cream and said to keep him lathered in Vaseline and if it doesn’t help then we need to see an allergy specialist
My youngest has eczema and it looks like this it’s just because it’s getting hotter what lotion do you use? Also coconut oil works really well
@mommiesgoneabitmad the medium chain fatty acids are antimicrobial
@professor.hashbrown, professor of all I love your vast knowledge my new google
It still could be eczema the weather is starting to change and it dries out those sweet little baby skin make sure you’re keeping it moist with lotion
If it is eczema, my kids are breaking out pretty bad right now. The baby who hasn't showed signs, his legs are looking bright red this weekend.
@llcoolkay Meds, it got so bad at one point I took 2 of them to a dermatologist. We have oral meds and 3 different creams depending what it looks like.
@scidg3, oh geeze. I have an appt with his ped in the morning. I’m gonna ask to see a dermatologist
I'd get him checked for a dairy allergy before you go cutting things out of his diet. Eczema doesn't always mean dairy allergy.
Right. I’m on the phone with the advice nurse right now. It just got this bad out of nowhere today
Doesn’t always mean dairy allergy. But it is very common.
It could be eczema.
Have you cut out dairy? That’s the first thing I’d try.
Also only use non fragrant detergents, don’t use soaps with fragrance!
Cool baths help, put cream on within 3 minutes of a bath to hold in the moisture. And always lather up with creams before lotion. Lotion actually has a lot of water in it that can help dry skin out.
@rayofmysunshine, okay I’ll definitely do that. Thank you!!
😞 Idk mama, that looks more like an allergic reaction to me. What was the Drs opinion?
I’ve showed her before and she thought eczema but it wasn’t this bad.
Yep you might have to cut dairy out as well start by no cow much and to soy milk or oat milk I had to do that for my son but he like his dairy so that’s a little hard to do but I try
