Depends. If you plan on moving or switching cars in a couple of years leasing would be okay. You can finance a used car. We did that for my GMC and I haven’t had issues. I would find someone who’s a mechanic so they can look at the car with you to make sure everything is okay with it.
cash and buying outright is best in an ideal world, but you are absolutely right. If you buy an older car, it often comes with more issues, which can mean costly repairs. You could use that same amount in cash to put down on a used car that is a few years old, and then finance the rest of it.
