I'm 20 weeks pregnant. Every time I go into hospital my blood pressure reading is always high. They did 3 readings and one came bk normal ...2 came bk high. I have a 2 yr old at home. My urine is fine. They said to wait to speak to a doctor and wait for blood results. I just feel like leaving as I know it only goes up when I'm in a hospital environment. I know if I go home it will be ok. What should I do ?

I hsve this too even when I'm not pregnant. They usually take it first and its high, chat to me for a bit and take it again when I'm a bit more relaxed and its absolutely fine. I call it white coat syndrome.

@mrsmowmow thats right its called white coat hypertension I've got that aswel whenever I see a doctor 😂 ive mentioned it before i had it all the way through with both, they did put me on a monitor eventually and it had gone back to normal i had also had my babies by then so they called it that^
Towards the end of my second pregnancy i did have protein in my urine so she sent me to get checked and by the time id got the hospital it had gone back to normal so they said it was discharge after keeping me in for abit. It might be the case for you, are you nervous in that sort of place? Is it still high after youve sat down for a while? X
