Last night was HORRIBLE. I have a clogged milk duct or bleb not sure which but my nipple and half my boob are in excruciating pain to the point when little one latches on I feel extremely nauseous. Then out of no where while sleeping I got chills so bad my body was convulsing and I could not get warm and now my neck is so stiff i have a massive headache from shaking so violently. I feel awful today.
I use the haaka on the side she isn't nursing on and I'll only pump if she takes a long nap. I've been using my rice bag before feeding. Breastfeeding is fun 🤦♀️
@countrypeaches42013, it gets way easier! Right now your body is still trying to figure out how much milk to make. If she sleeps too long then wake her up. I had to wake up my daughter for the first month. I had an oversupply and was soaking towels with overflow.
@2sweetie yeah this is my 4th time breastfeeding but first time having it hurt this much on one side.
Sounds like mastitis. I started like 2 am an by the afternoon I felt so sick. I dont think I had a fever but it felt like I did. My lactation told me mastitis develops fast. Call to get antibiotics. What I felt help was to soak my breast in warm water an Epsom salt. Feed baby a lot from that breast. Dr told me to massage an put a heating pad on that breast too, I think before feeding. I cried my second day with mastitis I have never felt that sick before. An felt like a week sick when it was like 3-4 days. Good luck.
I've felt like this once and I was able to work it out, it was more intensethan a clogged duct . I'm not really sure where the line for antibiotics is and where you can correct it yourself is. Don't go feeling miserable, call in if you don't feel good!
@scidg3 my pump is terrible but I do have a haaka. Sent my husband for epsom salt. It only hurts when she first latches on for a minute or so but stops hurting as soon as she nurses for a while. I had a blocked bleb with my 2nd born and that's what the latch feels like. I know my body aches today are from my aggressive chills last night and I'm crazy tired because I was up from 1am until 530 and then awake at 630. So it's hard to say what's a symptoms and what's exhaustion.
@countrypeaches42013 ugh, I hope you feel better and REST today! I hear sunflower letchin is good for avoiding clogs and mastitis.
@scidg3 if I dont feel better when my husband comes home tonight I'll go to the walk in
It could also be something called milk stasis. Basically an infected clogged duct.
Did the hospital give you a lactation consultant you can reach?
@countrypeaches42013, I’m not a professional but Myb it’s a minor case of it or being to be mastitis
Sounds like mastitis. Call your on for an antibiotic
Can mastitis form that quickly? It only started getting clogged last night
@countrypeaches42013 it can, please get it checked out. Sounds unbelievably painful.

Anterior placenta?
I found out yesterday, at my 20 week scan, that I have an anterior placenta and won't feel my baby kick as much due to it. Not until late pregnancy. Anyone else have the same thing? If so, when did you feel your baby kick?
Take a hot shower and try to pop the bleb with your fingernails once it gets nice and soft. Hand express your boob outward toward the front and try to kind of get behind the clog and push it out. I had a recurring bleb with my daughter and had to clear it out several times over a couple months. It’s painful. Try not to overpump because that’ll stimulate more milk production and make it feel worse.
