I love my daughter, i do love her but she is testing my patience 😅... she woke up early at least early for her it’s about to be 2 and she has still not eaten.
Me: what do you want to eat?
Natalie: pizza
Me: no that’s for dinner, do you want cereal?
Natalie: no pizza.
Me: do you want taquitos?
Natalie: no pizza.
Me: well I’m not making pizza 😒 how about a bagel with cream cheese?
Natalie: yes
* as I am preparing it, she says she wants hot dogs*
Me: eat this first and if you want more i will make you hot dogs.
*2 minutes later*
Natalie: I don’t want the bagel I want the hot dogs. (I eat the bagel)
*i go make it and hand it to her*
Me: 10 mins later. Natalie you haven’t touched the hot dogs they are cold are you going to eat them.
Natalie: no I don’t want them. (Dog eats them)
Me: so what do you want or are you not hungry yet?
Natalie: ummm I want cereal with milk and a cup of chocolate milk.

That does not work for her. She won’t eat what she does not want to eat, she will look for other options herself 😅. I don’t mind making them what they want it just blew my mind that we went through all that just to go back to the beginning lol.

@alejandra_593 it's not forcing though. You asked her if she wanted a bagel with cream cheese and she said yes. I don't see that as forcing at all.

yeah and she changed her mind. Didn’t want it, if I tell her that she can’t get anything else that her only option is that specific item, that to me is forcing them to eat what they don’t want.

@alejandra_593 Yeah, but you gave her options to start with until she finally agreed to a bagel with cream cheese. So you weren't forcing her to eat it. However, for her to suddenly change her mind it's a behavior she'll get used to if you keep giving in.
