Why Are Shelter Staff Treating Domestic Violence Victims Like Abusers?

Me laying quietly in bed and baby in her bed almost asleep nap

Shelter staff: starts banging on the door like cops really loud and fast non stop

Me; dressed in a t shirt peek at door see a man staff member a d say hold on.

Shelter staff: continues non stop loud banging

Me: rushing to at least put pants on and mask

Shelter staff : starts banging harder and faster

Me :my baby wakes starts walking to me with no mask barefoot

I open the door move 6 feet away

Staff : where you sleeping ? As they walk in with shoes on even though i requested to the manager to please ask stafd to put on the shoe bag thingy i already had hanging on the door as soon as they come in i bought it myself too.

.me : really loud after they leave next to my closed door knowing they right there in the halway"hold on baby dont step on the floor these people come in here with thier shoes on knocking like they cops like we aint got kids sleeping"

Me : thinking to myself do they know we the victoms of domestic violece why they treating us like we the abusers up in here !!!! No wonder people go back to the the abuser!!!!!!
